Finntasmagorium

A pastiche of personhood, represented through plays on my name.

Finnley Woods Goss
My full and legal name.
I made the decision to author my math papers as 'Finnley Goss' because I felt it was more professional.
Finn Goss
The name I have used the most throughout my life.
I quite enjoy this because of its simplicity and symmetry. F and G are next to each other in the alphabet, followed by a single vowel and then a couple of continuous consonants.
Finn Gossip
On my elementary school bus we had a show called Gossip Central where we discussed the happenings of the day. I was the host, 'Finn Gossip.'
I love to gab...
Finnley Woods
I like the sound of this a lot! To me it feels somewhere between rustic mountain man and southern belle (double names like Sally-Mae, etc.).
Finnley Woods has got the Goods!
Fingus
A friend in middle school used to refer to me always as "Finn Goss." One day her parents asked her, what's "Fingus's last name?"
Funnguss
I've always loved the spores <3.
Finndigo
The deepest.
I LOVE to dye with indigo!
Finnley Woads Goss
Woads—short for Wednesdays at Toads—is a Wednesday night Dance Party for Yale students at New Havens premier nightclub, Toad's Place. In my undergrad, I loved an excuse to go out dancing in the middle of the week and would often try to convince friends to go along with me.
Woads was usually quite bad.
Finnley Woe Goth
He's just like me, but dark and twisted...
Finnterlace
I'm always interlacing! You'd be hard pressed to find me fiberless.
Finnternet
This's where you are now!
My digital domain
Finnterface
The finnternet is the finnterface between me and the WWW.
Finnley Woods Gauze
I have struggled with chronic hand wounds and have often had to wrap up my hands with gauze.
I am slowly learning leno techniques and will hopefully weave some pretty gauze soon!
Finnjitsu
CHOP!!
Finnster
I love to spin yarn!
Findalinn
Just a nickname I like. I don't remember where it came from or who has ever called me this.
Diaphanous Gossamer
Diaphanous: Greek for translucent.
Gossamer: a very thin, delicate fabric. Also used as an adjective to mean lacelike or weblike.
I'm fine-threaded Finnley, shiny and chic. Find me on that filigree fleek.
Diaphanous vs. Gossamer
Affinnity Grows
On my 22nd birthday I visited my favorite green spaces in New Haven, CT. East Rock, Yale Botanical Gardens, the Green, Rainbow Park, Edgewood Park, and West Rock. Then I stopped by Affinity dispensary and I met a woman there repping their farm, Affinity Grows. I thought to myself well, that's basically my name and I got her recommendation for something that would sparkle.
