My name is Finn Goss and I am an aspiring mathemagician, weaver, and webmaster.
I was born and raised in Missoula, Montana and spent my childhood exploring the great outdoors,
appreciating the beauty of the world through mathematics and science, and
performing musical theatre.
At 14, I left home for St. Paul's School, a boarding school in Concord, New Hampshire, for the opportunity to pursue my education to the fullest.
There I continued with my interests in mathematics and physics while also studying Ancient Greek and Latin.
My time in classics quickly created a love for linguistics and philology, and I became obsessed with the comparative and historical linguistics of the Indo-European language family.
At 18, I attended Yale University for my undergraduate and was able to study mathematics, physics, linguistics (historical and computational), Old English, art history, occultism, material histories/archival studies, and art.
I obtained my B.S. in Mathematics and certificates (pretty much minors) in Medieval Studies and Collections: Objects, Research, & Society.
I am now in the first year of my PhD in Mathematics at the University of Arizona and hope to do research in number theory.
Having had the lifelong privilege of educational pursuit, I wish to share what I've learned with the world and make knowledge more accessible.
